The Land Rover brand is a British car manufacturer that is based in Gaydon in Warwickshire. Land Rover specializes in new and used Land Rover four wheel drive vehicles.  New and used Land Rover is owned by an Indian company Tata Motors. The Land Rover group joined into the Jaguar Land Rover group.

The name Land Rover was the main name for Rover Company for one of their cars which was produced and released to the market in 1948 using the name Land Rover.  The following years found new and used Land Rovers developing into a marquee of many four wheeled drive models. The brand produced Land Rover under the models of the Defender, Discovery, Freelander, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and also the Range Rover Evoque. New and used Land Rover vehicles are assembled at the companies Halewood and also Solihull plant. Land Rover has sold over 194,000 new and used Land Rover vehicles worldwide since 2009.

Land Rover have been owned by many people within the years including Leyland Motor Corporation, British Motor Holdings, Rover Group, British Aerospace BMW, Ford and also Premier Automotive Group. The Land Rover and also Jaguar marquees were then sold to Tata Motors in 2008.
