Epic Drives: Col de Turini in a Lamborghini Huracan
The Col de Turini was the road that made the Mini Cooper famous. In 1964, Paddy Hopkirk drove the Cooper over the treacherous Col de Turini on his way to winning the iconic Monte Carlo rally and cemented the diminutive car’s place in the motorsport hall of fame. Imagine if he’d been in a Lamborghini.
In this video, customer & YouTuber Archie Hamilton leads a group of supercars over the same route in his newly-acquired and very noisy Lamborghini Huracan. A successful racing driver, Archie knows how to pedal and looks very composed as he pushes the Lamborghini up the Route de Turini
Either end of the Route de Turini is easily accessible from Nice or Monaco within an hour or so, so it’s perfect if you are visiting for the Grand Prix. It is one of the world’s iconic drives and was featured in Top Gear series 10. Watch out for cyclists (going up slowly and coming down fast) and as always, drive with care – it’s a long way down.
